Things I love about Pokémon: little favors the NPCs ask of you.

I just walked a Mienfoo around some lady's house for a few minutes and she gave me a pearl for it. RANDOM AND POINTLESS BUT FUN. Save game, turn game off, draw what just happened. Trainersona will grow up to run her own pokémon daycare. Play with all the other trainers' pokémon, yeeeaaah! :'3

Ahah, noes. There are a few like the one you're thinking of--a couple of girls and a couple of guys, breeders. They annoy me when I'm doing rounds checking hidden grottoes. xD

Walking with Mienfoo is in a house in Humilau City. There's an older woman in there, and if you accept she'll give you heck if you try to leave or check the garbage or whatever you're walking. :'D

I FOUND THE WOMAN~

Ahhhh it was so much fun, the Mienfoo was adorable! Man but I really miss walking around with Pokémon following behind me, it's too bad they removed that mechanic after HG/SS.

Aww, that's too bad. . . I feel like they're usually situated in a way where you could avoid them if you really wanted to? But it can be annoying when you just want to walk around normally.

Yesss~ It made me want a Mienfoo. The comments on here make me want a Mienfoo. Dangit. xD; I miss that, too. It might have just complicated too much, idk. Have you played at all in the Pokemon Dream World? <u<

The ones in the grass that look around are especially bad 'cause the ones that stand still and forever face the same direction usually can't see you from the furthest point you can cross in front of them. Still, messing around with Funfest Missions (wireless connection -> entralink on the C-Gear, if you haven't checked that out yet), accidentally getting too close/HAVING TO GET TOO CLOSE, they like to ruin everything. D:< /pettyminirant :'D

Oh yes, I play around in the dream world every once in a while! It's not really the same, though. . . it's not as immersive. Having a pokemon in your Pokewalker, it really felt like you were taking that pokemon with you everywhere, whereas the Dream World is built to be more detached both from the game itself and from reality, given that the entire premise of it is that your Pokemon is dreaming it all up. Interactions also feel more minimal and collection-oriented, at least to me.

Oh man, yes, I have now run into the ones that look around. It can severely impede your progress through the game.

I still haven't done the funfest missions! I'll make sure to check them out.
